Grad school?

Sometimes the truth hurts. Which is why I hesitate to go to grad school or even apply. But I think it time. I just missed the deadline, and won't be able to apply again until Jan '09. Which means I wouldn't start school until Fall '09. Which feels really far away.

Evil Knievel.

Memorial at the Cabbagetown entrance to the Krog Tunnel.

(Sorry for the bad photo quality...it was dark...I'm no pro...you'll just have to go see it for yourself)

Brightens my morning, every morning.

These are the work of an unknown artist. A bunch of paper flowers "bloomed" in the Krog Tunnel several weeks back. I was lucky enough to go through the tunnel shortly after they arrived. Imagine a dimly-lit, graffiti-filled (some good, some not-so-good) tunnel suddenly coming alive with 100+ blossoms. It was genius. I took a couple. I felt bad. But I love having them in my window sill.

Cabbagetown Chomp and Stomp.

It's that time of year again. Cabbagetown is getting ready to get rowdy at the annual Chomp and Stomp. Come get your fill of chili and beer and music. The uber-talented Susan McCracken and I will be part of the art market, so come by and check her SWEET necklaces and my limited edition "I heart C-Town" mugs. Maybe even some gnomes will show up.

November 3rd. Cabbagetown Park. 11am to dusk. The chili goes fast so get there early!

New stamps.

I'm so in love with these stamps. I got frustrated when I couldn't find any other letter stamps (beside my leather-working stamps that I currently use.) that would work on clay. So I made 'em myself. Now a whole world of handmade stamps in different fonts is opening up to me!
